Zentangle Floral Duets

I have been doing Zentangle off and on for over a year.  I love it!  When I 'tangle' I totally zone out and get into the lines and patterns that I am drawing.  If you have never heard about it, please check it out.  It is called Yoga for the Brain for a reason.

So last night I went to my local papercrafts store for a Zentangle Spa night.  I took an image that I stamped from the A Muse Studio Floral Duet set.  I thought it would be perfect to tangle.  I am pretty happy with how it came out and cannot wait to tangle more!

Clean and Simple - Sweet Spot

I made this card for the CAS-ual Fridays CFC56 Challenge - Sweet Spot.

The challenge is to create a card using polka dots.  I love polka dots but am sad to admit I do not use them enough in my papercrafting.   That has got to change!!!

This card came together quickly, probably in less than 10 minutes!  I used the A Muse Studio Hey Cupcake and Tini Time sets.  The ink is A Muse Studio Grapefruit and Memento Tuxedo Black.  The cupcake is accented with Copic Marker BG10 and A Muse Studio Diamond Glitter.  All cardstock is A Muse Studio.

I hope you enjoyed this CAS-ual Friday challenge!

Copic Certified Designer

For a long time I have wanted to take a Copic Certification class and luckily there was one in my area this week.  The best part of it was that it was taught by Marianne Walker, who I think is a FABULOUS artist.  When I think of Copic Marianne immediately comes to mind.   I am now a Copic Certified Designer!  Yippeeee!

The class was filled with tips, techniques and a wealth of great information about Copic Markers.  I cannot wait to share this information and the tips and techniques with my A Muse Studio customers.  I will be tailoring some workshops to pass along all that I learned and will continue to learn as time goes on.   Stay tuned!

June A Muse Studio Blog Hop

A Muse Studio Consultant Blog Hop
Let's hear it for the BOYS!

Welcome to the next stop along the blog hop where this month a group of my fellow consultants and I are displaying creations made for Big BOYS and Little BOYS!

Masculine cards seem to pose a challenge for us cardmakers.  It is easy coming up with a card design for a woman but for those men in our lives, it takes a little bit more thought.   Guys don't usually want mushy or girlie cards.  They want MANLY MAN kind of cards.

Now if you are joining us in the hop you should have come from Angela Kelley's blog.  If you missed her blog, please be sure to hop back to her and then come back to me.  Trust me, you do not want to miss any steps along the way!

I hope you enjoyed this step along the hop and be sure to leave comments.  I love feedback.

Here is my creation.  I love the robots in the Love Machines set.  They can be used for so many occasions.  I like the simplicity of this design since you can use it over and over again with so many different images.  You can even jazz it up more but popping up the center image or even the second one from the right.  I free handed the line to and from the sentiment to give some added interest so the sentiment is not hanging in the air.  Free handing borders is a great way to add dimension when you do not have many layers.

Card Details:

ink: Orange, Papaya, Grass, Ocean, Bermuda, Blueberry
cardstock: Sugar
embellishments: Copic Multiline
