My 2014 Christmas Gift Tags

Ah it is nearing Christmas and my 2014 Christmas Tags Workshop is over for the year.  I always enjoy this workshop.  It is fun to design gift tags for those special gifts that you want to make even more special with cute wrapping paper and an equally nice gift tag.

I hope you enjoy these pictures!

The Cozy Back set is one of my favorite sets in the 2014 A Muse Studio Holiday Catalog.  Paired with a snowflake from the Snowflakes set it makes a fabulous card.

Road Trip

This month's One-Layer Simplicity Challenge is themed ROAD TRIP!

While I did not take it literally the challenge can be about any journey and the transportation you would use.  I have always loved the A Muse Studio Greetings Earthing set and I figured it would be a great set to use for this challenge.  This card is fun and whimsical and can be used for so many occasions.  On my bucket list I would like to go on a cross-country road trip with my hubby and see so many of the fabulous places our country has to offer.  Where would you like to go on a road trip?

Just Add Water

Happy Daylight Savings Day!  It is so nice to have it be light out at almost 7:00 p.m. here.  I am feeling more energized and feel that the winter blues are starting to fade away.  Today was a lazy Sunday for me which I thoroughly enjoyed.  I saw my kids back off to college after their Spring Break and spent time in my crafty space cleaning and organizing it.  I went to a scrapbooking retreat last weekend and unpacking from a weekend away is always a chore.  I have to say that it is looking pretty good in my space!  It makes me very happy.

In addition to cleaning or organizing my room, I got to spend some time getting ready for my Easter Workshop next weekend and even had time to play along with a challenge from One-Layer Simplicity.  The challenge this week is Just Add Water.  The challenge is to create a one layer card with minimal embellishments that has either water sprayed on or applied to the image.  My first thought was to replicate a card I had made before using A Muse Studio Spray Splash!  I love Splash! and it is so much fun and easy to work with.

Is it Spring yet?

Well it is March 1st and Spring seems to be no where in sight here in New England.  The daffodils are under a thick blanket of snow and more is coming!  This has been a very long winter.  Are you as ready for Spring as I am?

This month's workshop - Easter Bunny is Coming to Town is a bid in trying to push away the snow blues and give us a look at what will eventually come - SPRING and Easter!  And with the new Accessories Guide you can make some super cute cards, projects and treats.  Here are two of the cards that will be featured at my workshop on March 15th.  If you are in my area, come on over and get a glimpse of what will eventually be.

The new dies are fabulous!   The Happy die can be used with anything!  The new Easter Basket Die Set (page 6 in the catalog) I am in love with!   Using different cardstock colors gives you a whole realm of ideas.  French Roast to make it look like chocolate and if you scallop one ear you can make it look like someone took a bite!  Add a bow tie or a new Bunny Bum to his tail and you have Mr. Peter Cottontail.  So cute!

Have you seen the Accessories Guide yet?  What is on your wishlist?  What is your favorite new items?  Post comments to let me know.
