VMAA is almost here

This coming Saturday will be the 3rd VMAA (Virtual Meeting of the A Muse Addicts)! I am so looking forward to it!

What is VMAA, you ask? Well, it would be great to get together with a few hundred (thousands maybe) of really creative people who share the love of A Muse stamps that I do. But this being a global 'addiction' it is not possible. So what do we do??? We do the NEXT best thing. We will all meet on the A Muse Addicts forum ( this Saturday, August 2nd at 9:00 p.m. EST and have a meeting!

VMAA will be a time to test out your stamping skills but more importantly just have FUN with your fellow A Muse buddies. The FAB 4 (Geeta, Jennie, Rhonda and Michelle) will post challenges and we'll have a time limit to do it in. And of course there will be prizes!

Check out the A Muse Addicts forum for more information on the current VMAA!

More Celebrations...

I am enjoying the recent card challenges. I made this card with two challenges in mind. The first being the continuation of the A Muse Addicts Weekly Challenge, #53 Let's Celebrate and Heather's Share Your Spark Friday. The theme for Share Your Spark Friday is to make a shaped card. I used my Nestabilities to make the mat for the image and shaped the card using a larger die. I just love them!

Ink: Memories Black
Image and Sentiment: A Muse & Art Impressions, Paper: A Muse & SU, COPIC markers, Ultrafine Glitter, Marvy Markers

Monochromatic Seattle Girl

I have recently started participating in Heather Meeson's Share Your Spark Fridays challenges. This week's challenge is to make a monochromatic card.

I have to say that this card came together in the record time for me. The color I chose, Colorbox Smoke Blue, matched the theme of the card perfectly.

Stamps used: A Muse - Seattle girl, Rain, Skinny Oval and Memory Box - Cloud. Notecard: A Muse, Cardstock: SU Whisper White.

Making a Scene & Sharing a Spark

The AMAC Weekly Challenge #51 is all about making a scene!! A Muse stamps are so fun because they all go together so well and there is such a huge variety of them! Using them together you can really make any kind of scene you want. So the challenge this week is to use A Muse stamps to make a scene!!

The new Winter Boy stamp which is part of the A Muse Holiday Release for A-Muse-A-Palooza is so cute! When I saw him I thought he could also be used for other times of the year. Being used as a baseball player was one of the ways I thought of using him. I also used the new Flourish Tree and sentiment from the new release. There are so many really cute new stamps it was hard to choose!

This is also my submission for Heather’s weekly share your spark challenge- to make something Christmas related.

So in my scene I placed a 'B' on his cap for the Boston Red Sox, of course!

Fun cards

I had an enjoyable weekend making cards with my friend Karen. I had wanted to try some of the Lockhart stamps that I got and finally got the chance. I love their stamps, especially the fruit and flowers images. I stamped the images with Memories black ink and used watercolor pencils for the coloring. I love how soft the colors come out when using the watercolor pencils. You can really control the intensity of the color. I am still working on my coloring techniques so it is definitely a work in progress. I also used some of my CB folders to emboss the cards. I love how it really finishes the cards.

Here is what I made this weekend:

A-Muse-A-Palooza Update

I am thoroughly enjoying my first A-Muse-A-Palooza so far!

Last night was the last AMAP class at Ink About It and a WICKED good time was had by all. I will post the pictures of the cards we made later on today.

As of yet I have not picked a favorite card but have to say that despite my initial opinion of whether I would use the Rocket elf, I think he is one of my favorites. Jenn was smirking when I asked her to 'shop' for me and add it to my basket.

I also want to thank all the 'Sneak Peek' creators. I have seen so many WICKED awesome cards and cannot wait to start making cards with the new images.

A Muse Addicts at AMAP

Today was the first day of A-Muse-A-Palooza at Ink About It. Jenn kept us laughing all night! We all enjoyed seeing the new releases and scoffing them up to take home with us.

The A Muse shelves were a lot fuller before the class started and with Jenn shopping for us during the class we made a good size dent in their inventory! I know, for myself, I took home more than my fair share!

Here are the cards we made tonight:

Hot Summer Fun

The AMAC's Weekly Challenge #50 is about heat!! I don't know about where you are, but here in New England it is HOT!!! The challenge this week is to use A Muse stamps to make a card that is HOT!! It could be stamps that make a hot summery scene, or you could use hot colors like red and orange or you could just use an A Muse stamp that you think is *hot*!!

What do you think? Is this hot or what!

A Muse New Releases

During A Muse-a-Palooza week new stamps are being released. I went to Ink About It today and got a few to add to my stash! I am having a blast playing with some of the new stamps! Featured in my card are three new ones (Wine and cheese, Wine glass and Eat, drink, be merry).

Can you see what the wine bottle label says?
