Card Making Play Date Results

My friend Karen and I got together this morning to make cards. My husband called it our play date. In addition to having some laughs (some of them about me and my many issues) we were able to get a lot done. It was great to be able to ink up some stamps that I had not had the opportunity to use yet. It feels so good to break in new stamps!

More Valentine Greetings

I was on a card making roll this weekend and wanted to post more pictures of cards that I made using the Bare Tree stamp by Memory Box. These cards came together so quickly and I love when that happens (I usually agonize over cards!).

Valentine Greetings

Valentine's Day is fast approaching and I need to send out my cards soon.

In addition to my love affair with A Muse stamps, I also love Memory Box stamps.

I made this card using stamps that I bought last night at my LSS. It was a quick, fun card to make!

Happy Birthday to My Man

To celebrate my DH's (Darling Husband for those that do not know what DH stands for) I made him not one but two cards!

In our family we celebrate our birthdays for a few days, with each person having a Birthday Weekend. Saturday we went to a fabulous Italian restaurant, Via Italian Table, with my sister and her family. We were accosted by a very drunk person looking for money for cab fare home with some wild story on how he lost his license and his friend's girlfriend would not give him a ride home and needed $48 dollars for the fare.

Then we walked through a puddle of gas from a truck that had dropped his axle and gas tank on the road. Good thing it is winter time here! My BIL is a fireman and let the restaurant know to call the fire department. One match and a few cars would have been toast! The smell of gas was horrible. After all that commotion we settled down for a delicious dinner.

Sunday was the Superbowl. What guy does not love watching football, never mind that it is also your birthday! The only thing that would have been better was if we were watching our beloved Patriots playing. Oh well, there is always next season.

We had lots of different food for the game, chicken wings, fresh fruit salad, chips & salsa and homemade pizza. I love making my own sauce. Birthday cake consisted of Carrot Cake (DH's favorite) and Molten Chocolate Lava Cakes. Yummy! Over all I think it was a very good weekend.

Happy Birthday Gerry!

The Announcing card I made first.
